Eastham resident Gail Gompper has published a colorful board book for infants and toddlers. A former public school art teacher, Gompper illustrated the book herself, an added reason to pick up this little beach treasure. Easy to handle and wipe clean of simple spills, the book takes little ones to the beach and shows them all the fun they can have — even on chilly, rainy and windy days. But on sunny days, it's everyone into the water, after which there's an outdoor shower and a good night's sleep. No Cape Codder of any age can ask for more than that.
